Fall 2022
The plan to launch a brand was left half-done and stalled for a time.
After returning to work, I was so busy with work and childcare for about three months that I did n't have much time to think about it .
Spring 2023
However, in the meantime, they became pregnant with their second child.
My mind was focused on starting the second round of childcare, and naturally the idea for the brand came back to me.
"If I don't do it now, I might never do it again."
With that in mind, I started working again in my spare time at work , revisiting my plan, visiting some of the startup support organizations I had visited before , and contacting OEM companies again.
Summer 2023
It was still difficult to find a company that would let me go ahead with my design proposal, and one that I was satisfied with and could entrust with the design .
In the midst of all this, I happened to have a meeting with the representative of a company (Fujiya Co., Ltd.) .
I clearly remember the time when he said to me at a cafe in Yaesu, "I don't think there's anything you can't do."
Fall 2023-Spring 2024
Trial and error involved in producing samples and fine-tuning the design.
Since the new year, we've had a variety of babies try on the clothes. This made me keenly aware of just how big individual differences there are in the structure of the human body, and even made me wonder if what I was trying to do was reckless.
But we strive to create a design that can be worn cutely by as many babies as possible - from newborns to 1-year-olds. And if they outgrow it, they can still wear it after that.
We reworked the design many times, had people try it on, and after a long time , we finally completed the design we have today.
Spring 2024
I was thinking, "Now, let's launch it!", but when I got to this point , I suddenly had a question for myself.
The mission of my brand is to " help create wonderful memories of raising children ."
So, now that you are raising a child, are you really able to enjoy time with your children to the fullest?
Before I knew it, for the past six months I had been thinking about what I should do every day, right up until the moment I closed my eyes and fell asleep , and I had been preoccupied with this work 24/7.
And before I knew it, I was exhausted, as I was constantly thinking about what to do with the brand while playing with my kids .
I have decided to temporarily suspend my activities with this brand.
